Thank You Class of 2003!
The Del Norte Child Care Council would like to acknowledge and thank the Del Norte High School Class of 2003 for it’s generous donation to our organization. With it’s gifts to the Child care Council and to Harrington House, the Class of 2003 demonstrates that when we invest in our children, the returns are caring and giving adults.

Things just keep getting prettier around here!
Recently several staff members at DNCCC felt something had to be done about the back entrance to the building. The ground was hard and dry, the weed barrier was askew and there were just a few struggling plants making a valiant effort to beautify the space.
With a few funds and a lot of ingenuity the area has been transformed. The weed barrier was pulled back. The existing soil was watered and turned. A load of ‘dirty fines’ was generously donated by Snoozie Shavings to nourish the area. A variety of plants now greet those who enter including the parents in our Child Access Program.
Native ceanothus joins fuchsia, thrift, lamb’s ears, columbine, jasmine, rosemary, periwinkle, artemisia and ribbon grass. The weed barrier has been secured and is now beautified by a layer of wood chips also donated by Snoozie’s.
We’re proud of our back entrance and the welcoming sight of healthy plants. Come visit and see the difference! Special thanks to Rosalee Leaberry, Liz Houchin and Melodee Waggener for all their hard work on this project!
Many thanks to Snoozie Shavings for so
readily agreeing to help with this project.
