| Toddlers generally should eat about 1,000 calories per day-some days less, other days more. According to Stephanie Clark, child nutrition program manager at 4 C’s of Alameda County, most toddlers should eat three meals and two snacks a day eating about every two hours. "The more active children are, the more frequently they need to eat." Toddlers should drink water throughout the day, (whole milk until age two, the low fat or non-fat) or water at meal times, and 100% juice (high in sugar) only at snack time. |
