Jammin' at Jed Children's Activities
Welcome to this year’s Jammin’ at Jed event. The children’s activities this year are a combination of old and new activities. Since our children’s headliner band is the Banana Slug String Band, we have organized a table for making Banana Slug headbands. Other children’s activities will be face painting (2 tables), macramé jewelry, terrific tiles (2 tables), mural painting, ivy flower headbands, a table with beading for preschoolers as well as a new activity called Bead Bugs (critters made out of wire and beads), and an Ooey Gooey area for hands on gooey fun.
We are happy to have Sandy Velasquez and our First Five volunteers do a fun nature craft. The U.S. Forest Service will be offering a craft also!
The event is Saturday, September 18th, 2004 at Jed Smith State Park. The children’s activities will take place from noon to 4:00pm.
The Coordinators of this year’s children’s activities are: Melodee Waggener, Sarah Noll, Arturo Gomez and myself, Charlene Blackburn. We are all members of the Resource and Referral Department at Del Norte Child Care Council.
We hope to see kids of all ages at this year’s big event!!

We have hooded sweatshirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and ball caps with logos from throughout Jammin’ at Jed history. We have sizes ranging for children through 3x adults. They make great gifts!!

DNCCC Cook Books are Now Available!
"Homemade With Love"
The cookbook contains 181 recipes in 8 categories from Appetizers to Desserts. Staff, board, providers, and supporters of DNCCC contributed the recipes. This is a new venture for DNCCC and we hope it will provide some much needed funds.
Great idea for Christmas or Birthday gifts. Available at DNCCC Office. Cost is $10.00 while supplies last.

Provider Conference 2005 Set
Next year’s Provider Conference is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st, 2005!! We are happy to announce the exciting return of the Ooey Gooey Lady, Lisa Murphy. We are working on the plan for some new classes and fun.

We had originally planned to schedule our annual Provider Conference for earlier in the year in February 2005, but Lisa was unavailable at that time. We wanted to bring her back and we were flexible enough to make this happen. So mark your calendars now to plan ahead.

FYI, we will be having four Ooey Gooey containers at this year’s Jammin’ at Jed, so bring the kids and check out the hands on fun.
