If your answer is no you may be interested in the Disability Insurance Elective Coverage offered by Employment Development Department.
The benefits of the program could protect your most valuable asset, your ability to earn an income. It provides protection against loss of income due to injury, pregnancy, or illness whether work related or not. In addition, it offers up to 39 weeks of benefits and costs less per year than two weeks of benefits. You may receive up to six weeks of Paid Family Leave (PFL) to care for a child, a domestic partner, or an ill parent.

A Well Deserved Thankyou
Del Norte Providers Association would like to thank all the staff at DNCCC for all their hard work to help us as an organization.  Thank you to Maggie, Cynthia, Valerie and Kathleen for their trainings they have come and shared with us.  Thank you to Char for all her hard work and Sarah for all the extras.  Thank you Christina for translating our minutes every month. That is so helpful.  A special thanks to Shelagh for canceling her last CPR class so we could have our yard sale.  We really do appreciate all the things you do.

Del Norte Provider Association will also be collecting clothes to donate to Daily Bread Ministries.  60 % men, 35 % women, and 5% children come in to receive clothes from Daily Bread and we will be giving them clothes fit for everyone but children are more than welcome to come get school clothes because that is a majority of what we will be donating.  Del Norte Providers will be meeting at Ambrosia Grill at 6:30 for our next month's  meeting.  We also want to give a special thanks to Katie Creed for all her effort she put forth towards Relay for Life.  Thank you to all the providers who contributed towards Relay for Life.  We were able to make a difference this year and hope well for future Relay endeavors. Are you eligable for a Health and Safety Reimbursement?
If you are a Licensed Family Child care provider, foster parent, Trustline provider, or center teacher who has taken CPR or CA Child Care First Aid you may be eligible for the Health and Safety Reimbursement.

    Steps
  1. Register and prepay at Red Cross, 464-2277.
  2. Attend and successfully pass the class(es).
  3. Complete and turn in a Health & Safety Reimbursement Expenditure authorization form (this form is available at the Del Norte Child Care Council) with a copy of your card(s) and receipt(s).
  4. Submit the form to the Del Norte Child Care council by June 30th of the current fiscal year to be reimbursed. (Our fiscal year begins July 1st ends June 30th).
