| Harriet Worobey, Director of Nutritional Sciences Preschool at Rutgers University, says kids generally like foods that are crispy, crunchy, in bright colors and fun shapes. She also busts the myth that kids like bland foods – look at the children in India or Mexico, where spicy is the norm. Here’s a list of foods you might want to explore with your kids: Cheese fondue with bread, potatoes and veggies; Caesar Salad; Grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce; Spinach or broccoli quiche; Chicken kebabs or satays with peanut sauce; Vegetable sushi; Asian noodle soups and Chinese sesame noodles; Edamame cooked in the pod; Mild curried chicken with rice and toppings; Sugar snap peas
