Welcome JOY!
The Del Norte Child Care Council would like to welcome our newest employee, Joy Grant! Joy has taken the position of Deputy Director of Operation and Finance for the agency and we are excited to have her aboard. She brings great financial experience with her along with her great personality. Joy moved here from Humboldt County 13 years ago. On her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping and all sorts of needle work. Joy is also her family’s historian, discovering and compiling her family’s past for future generations. The Del Norte Child Care Council is excited to welcome Joy to our agency!

Family Child Care Home Education Network
The Family Child Care Home Education Network partly or fully pays for child care services to children 0-13 in the caring environments of qualified licensed family child care home providers. Children served through the Family Child Care Home Education Network receive child care by licensed caregivers who have made an extra commitment to enhance their professionalism and quality of care. These providers agree to attend ongoing professional development workshops, provide nutritious meal service at no additional expense to the family and to work closely with DNCCC to best meet the needs of children enrolled in care.

To receive a child care subsidy through this program, parents must have a specific eligibility and need for care (examples include working, attending school, obtain approved vocational training and for some other reasons) and be within certain income ranges (unless a child needs care in order to prevent the occurrence of child abuse).

To enroll in this program call DNCCC.
