A survey was sent out to family child care providers to determine workshop interest. As a result, a free workshop on Difficult Behaviors will be offered on Saturday, June 7, from 9:00-11:30 am at the Fire Hall on Washington Blvd. The costs of the workshop will be covered by the Del Norte Local Child Care Planning Council.

Next year, additional workshops are planned through the Del Norte Child Care Council, in collaboration with the Child Care Inclusion Task Force: a panel discussion for child care providers to educate them on resources available that will help assist children with exceptional needs. We hope to include representatives from public health, Del Norte County School District’s Special Ed Deptartment and Redwood Coast Regional Center. The other workshop will be on ages and stages of development.
