Bright Idea!
Give your child a two minute warning before it’s time to leave an activity they are enjoying. You will find that if you give your child time to transition from one activity to another, they will be less frustrated and so will you.

Sand Castles by the Sea
On June 30th, DNCCC will hold our annual Sand Castle by the Sea event on Howe Drive (behind the swim pool). This event is non-competitive, but encourages children and their parents or guardians to have a good time together. Some of the wonderful things families built in years past include the ever popular sand castle (which is always unique to it’s creator), sand and seaweed mermaids, and a giraffe (which had a photo in the Triplicate!)

The sky is the limit!
We provide lots of sand building equipment but you are encouraged to bring your own if you like.
Bring a lunch, sunscreen and have a blast! Please join us June 30th, 11:00-2:00.

Have you seen DNCCC’s Toy Room?
The Del Note Child Care Council has been known to have one of the very best toy rooms available to the community. Now it’s even better. We have lots of new toys, puzzles and indoor/outdoor play equipment for your toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy. It only costs $5.00 a year for parents or $10.00 a year for child care providers to join the toy lending library. Some of the new items include a slide, teeter-totter, dinosaurs, games and puzzles.

The Toy Room is open Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00-12:00.
Come by and see all the wonderful new play equipment and find out about these great programs.

Summer Child Care Options
The Del Norte Child Care Council offers referrals to licensed Family Child Care Providers as well as licensed Centers and Preschools. Please call us at 464-8311 for referrals or stop by our office at 212 K Street from 9-12 and 1-5, Monday thru Friday.

Family Child Care Providers: We have 41 licensed Family Child Care Providers on our referral list. Many have openings for a variety of schedules.

Pine Grove Child Care Center
Pine Grove child care center is now accepting enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year. Monday thru Friday 12:00-6:00 pm. The Pine Grove Child Care Center serves children 4.9-12.5 years of age in a recreational setting. Center activities generate opportunities for children to interact socially, learning to balance respect and independence with friendship. For information and registration, call Kim Geib at 464-7412.

There are many ways people can choose to donate to the Del Norte Child Care Council. Contributions are tax deductible and gratefully accepted.
