| Celebrate Child Care Providers!! |
| May 11th marked National Provider Appreciation Day! Here at DNCCC we appreciate quality Child Care Providers and the hard work they do everyday to ensure that mothers and fathers can go to work knowing their children are safe and provided a healthy, nurturing environment! On May 8th, the Board of Supervisors proclaimed May 11th 2007 Child Care Appreciation Day. Vonda Fry, a long time family child care provider and President of the newly formed Del Norte Providers Association was there to accept the proclamation. Vonda gave a wonderful speech pointing out the hard work providers do and that their hard work is often not acknowledged. Del Norte Child Care Council appreciates all of the quality Family Child Care Providers in Del Norte County and they need to know you do too! It isn’t too late to celebrate your provider, take the time soon to let them know you appreciate them. Help your child make a card, pick some flowers from your yard, bring a coffee on your way to drop off or pick up your kids! |
