| Why Use a Booster Seat? |
| Why use a Booster Seat? The Partners in Prevention study of children up to 15 years of age reveals these important reasons for using a booster seat:
Kids unnecessarily end up with broken noses, jaws, and other facial fractures due to poor fit; these disfiguring, painful consequences can cause psychological pain as well. Ages 3 to 9, using belts only, run the highest risk of "seat belt syndrome" including both abdominal and spinal injuries due to incorrect fit. Kids riding in side-facing rear seats of compact pickups are 5 times more likely to be injured that children in other back seats. Make sure the K thru 3rd grade children in your life are exposed to "Boosters Are For Big Kids" and the 5 - Step Test.
