Del Norte Child Care Council is pleased to announce the following changes in our agency:
We have been awarded the CAPIT contract for the next three years. Melodee Waggener has accepted the Parent Educator position which will begin in January 2006. Congratulations Melodee!
We have a new Food Program Coordinator named Nicole Rouge. Nicole begins on November 16th. Let’s all welcome Nicole!
Rosalie Leaberry has been promoted to the License Exempt Project Community Educator effective November 16th. Congratulations Rosalie!
Jammin' at Jed CLEARANCE!
Del Norte Child Care Council will be selling 1994 through 2004 Jammin’ At Jed memorabilia for 50% off while supplies last. We have sweatshirts and t-shirts with the different logos from throughout Jammin’ at Jed history. We have sizes ranging from children through 3x adults. They make great gifts!!

DNCCC Cook Books are Now Available!
"Homemade With Love"
The cookbook contains 181 recipes in 8 categories from Appetizers to Desserts. Staff, board, providers, and supporters of DNCCC contributed the recipes. This is a new venture for DNCCC and we hope it will provide some much needed funds.
Great idea for Wedding or Birthday gifts. Available at DNCCC Office. Cost is $10.00 while supplies last.

Are you or someone you know in need of a car seat? We can help income-qualified parents in Del Norte County get free car seats. If you are expecting a child or have a child who is not in an appropriate size car seat please contact Sarah or Shelagh at the Del Norte Child Care Council at 464-8311.
Quilt Project Update
The DNCCC Rainbow Quilt project got underway the week of November 7. The children in Pine Grove after school program agreed to do some artwork to be used for quilt squares. The squares will have a rainbow motif with bright embellishments added in colored markers according to each child’s individual inspiration. The children will do their drawings on paper. The drawings will be scanned into a computer and printed onto white muslin fabric to produce 8 inch square quilt blocks. Our goal is to assemble the artwork squares into a queen size quilt with the help of the Lighthouse Quilt Guild. We’re hoping to have the quilt ready by March to hang at various places and events around town.
Raffle ticket sales will benefit the DNCCC. The contact for the quilt project is Rosalie Leaberry at 464-8311 ext 24.
